Amazon is about to launch a service that lets UK customers pick up their purchases from one of 4,700 shops across Britain.
The etailer has been secretly trialling pick-ups through shops that already work with PayPoint using its existing CollectPlus parcel service.
CollectPlus is already available in selected local cornershops, convenience stores and even garages, giving Amazon buyers the chance to grab their purchases at from places open early to late and often seven days a week. Delivery is frequently a massive pain in the butt for most internet shoppers, since anyone who has a job can't fit into the narrow-minded, we-only-deliver-during-office-hours post and courier services' mentality.
