Lancashire Constabulary has charged Manchester based digital marketing agency Code Computerlove with developing a digital strategy that will help the force continue to be a forerunner in terms of its digital communications.
Lancashire Constabulary appointed Code following a competitive three way pitch. Code will now help the organisation define how best to use the latest digital technologies and online channels to communicate its messages to the general public.
Code is also handling an anti-social behaviour Facebook campaign for the police force and its partners, which launched this month.
Jane Astle, head of corporate communications – Lancashire Constabulary, said: “Our young persons’ website has previously gained acclaim for being ground-breaking and effective, so we’re looking to take our digital activity on to the next level, and Code is certainly the agency to help us to identify what potential in the digital landscape lies ahead.
“Digital is a vital channel for us to help raise our profile as well as improve community engagement, particularly in the current climate of budgetary restrictions in the public sector and the need to demonstrate value for money.”
Chris Heg from Code Computerlove said: “We will be looking at Lancashire Constabulary’s website through to its social media presence, to devise a strategy for how they can use digital marketing to best effect. There is a constant evolution between technology and consumer behaviour. The shift towards ‘social’ thinking and the emergence of fundamental platforms, like the mobile, tablet and soon IPTV are bigger strides than we have seen before, which we will be taking into consideration for keeping Lancashire Constabulary in the public eye.
“This speed of change will always make digital an exciting place to be and as an agency we keep up with innovation so we can advise clients on which digital trends to embrace to maximise return on their marketing spend.”
