Common Good is a digital innovation agency. We partner with clients to help solve their biggest problems and challenges through effective use of research, design and digital technologies. We’re an independent, Manchester-based studio and we work with businesses across the globe.

We’re a team of Strategists, Designers and Software Engineers built to understand and create the future. We design and build digital products and services that make use of the internet like websites, applications, wearables and interfaces.

Our approach and process brings a valuable outside-in perspective, and we collaborate closely with clients to tackle rapid change by launching smarter digital products together.

We work at speed and scale and help our clients to do the same, side-stepping ‘analysis paralysis’. We help companies benefit from customer research, rapid prototyping and short cycles of development. These behaviours help us reduce risk and release successful, sustainable, data-driven products.

Our process is customer focused – we talk, listen and observe to identify patterns in user behaviours. Techniques like rapid prototyping help us test our theories and witness, first-hand, what really matters to people – a vital cog in the Common Good process.

We are a digital transformation agency.

We empower future thinking organisations with elegant digital solutions through a potent mix of creative ability, technological know-how and entrepreneurial flair.

The projects we work on come in all shapes and sizes: device-friendly websites and web apps, interactive videos, e-commerce solutions, brand refreshes, communication toolkits and lots more in between.

While our work cuts across a plethora of competencies we concentrate on the core areas of strategy, technical and creative.

In this multichannel, multi-device world we believe that continuous iteration is crucial to improving success. We understand that a new website, app, video or digital channel isn’t just a short-term fix and is no good in isolation. Delivering the project is just the start; we work with our clients over the long term, embracing analytics and data, to continually improve online performance and audience experience.

FutureEverything is an award-winning innovation lab for digital culture and annual festival, established in Manchester in 1995. For almost 20 years FutureEverything has been exploring the meeting point of technology, society and culture which lies at the heart of the digital debate. Through a community network and regular events it makes connections between thinkers, developers, coders, artists, designers, urbanists and policy makers – inspiring them to experiment and to collaborate in new ways. The FutureEverything festival brings people together to discover, share and experience new ideas for the future. Pioneering the practice of city-wide ‘festival as laboratory’ it combines a large scale cultural event – encompassing art, music and discussion – with new technology, novel research methods and playful social experiments. It has been named by The Guardian as one of the top ten ideas festivals in the world. Year round, FutureEverything champions the role of grassroots innovation in the digital creative economy. It creates opportunities for artists, programmers and coders though regular commissions, hackdays and innovation challenges. Through its research it identifies and explores areas in which technological, creative and societal innovation could facilitate change. Through policy work and thought leadership it advocates for the creative use of open data to improve government and empower citizens and communities. As a world-leader in the digital art sector, FutureEverything commissions artists to illustrate new ideas through creative prototypes, interactive design and participative experiences. It is seen by Arts Council England as “one of the key touch-point organisations” connecting creative communities with academic research, the business sector and policy makers. Past FutureEverything projects include a data visualisation of the global audience response to London 2012, and work in open data that has led to new policy and infrastructure, such as DataGM, the Greater Manchester Datastore. Current projects include EUPORIAS, a European Commission project working with the UK’s Met Office and international climate science organisations to foster a new industry of ‘climate services’, the Greater Manchester Data Synchronisation Programme, the Smart Citizen environmental sensing network and Apps for Europe, a series of local, national and EU-wide competitions to create innovative open data businesses.

At Rust Studios we are experts in 3D visualisation, digital marketing and graphic design. Using cutting-edge technology, our experienced team of designers, visual artists and software developers deliver high quality creative solutions tailored for everything from PCs, tablets and smartphones to traditional print media.

Our aims are simple: to inspire and impress your customers, partners and stakeholders. And to win you business.

Design has evolved. The digital world offers exciting potential to turn an outline concept into an eye-catching vision, to grab the viewer's attention and communicate key propositions with high impact. With 3D, animation, interactivity and more, it's a whole new visual environment that can change perceptions.
We can help you make the most of the opportunities. We specialise in high-end architectural visualisations and animations/fly-throughs, working mainly for clients in the construction and property industries. However, our skills and resources are just as useful to other sectors, from advertising to travel.

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. That's why, at Rust Studios, we are totally committed to team working. We pool knowledge, share ideas and encourage lateral thinking to arrive at a solution which is not only efficient and effective, but if necessary can seamlessly combine different media into a cohesive, cross-platform campaign.

Our services include 3D CGIs, web design and development, digital marketing, brand insight, creative design and corporate literature. Whatever the brief, we will work closely with you to understand and achieve your objectives, as well as pro-actively driving the project to deliver on time and on budget. In fact, we want to exceed your expectations, so wherever possible we add value, giving that extra 10% of inventiveness or commitment that can make all the difference.

The benefits of choosing Rust Studios speak for themselves. You can be confident your project is in the safe hands of one of the UK’s leading 3D visualisation studios. You can rely on our creativity, expertise and dedication to ensure your project is a resounding success.

Ok, so we are a digital agency.

Although, we really like to think of ourselves as an ideas agency providing digital solutions.

If you're asking us to be specific, then we make web sites, web apps, virals and mobile apps. But the technology isn't as important as making our clients smile; and what makes our clients happy isn't the technology we use, but the results we help produce.

Take a look around to find out more about our services and check out some of our recent and upcoming campaigns. But you'll need to speak with one of our team to find out how we can make you happy too.

We are Tokyo.
