Business Development Executive

Full-time (Permanent)

Role Overview:

Reporting into the Head of Demand Generation, Marketing & Alliances, you will be responsible for the qualification of all new leads as well as following up on potential prospects and identifying new opportunities. You will be working in a high performing team, with the opportunity to increase your knowledge and skills quickly through ongoing training and development. You will be expected to lead from the front and be a self-starter in creating opportunities with potential customers, armed with a highly innovative technology proposition. You will demonstrate a positive attitude towards excelling and progressing within a fast growing, award winning organisation.


Responsibilities:

- Identify target contacts within potential customers
- Profile and prospect new accounts, booking high quality meetings for Sales Team - Follow up on inbound marketing activity and leads
- Drive customer attendance to our events
- Qualify and nurture lead queues
- Identify opportunities for upselling within existing customers
- Update the CRM on a daily basis ensuring it’s up to date and relevant
- Work to KPIs set by the Head of Demand Generation, Marketing & Alliances
- You’ll get involved in our drive towards social progress where possible. Whether that’s getting involved in one of our community projects or simply buying local when travelling with the company.

 

Key Skills:

- Previous experience working within an inside sales role or cold calling role
- Excellent people skills, highly confident and an ability to drive sales results
- Good systems and CRM skills, ideally Hubspot and Salesforce

 

Desirable Skills:

- Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus
- Knowledge of Google Cloud portfolio of products
- New Business Sales Trained
- Industry Knowledge

For this role we are able to offer:
- Hybrid working - you can work from where you want, when you want.
- Flexible hours - we ask that you work during core hours (10-4) to help with collaboration, but outside of that you can work when suits you

- Job sharing - Splitting your role between you and one other person each week to get the work done
- Part time working - Reducing the number of hours or days you work per week
- Annualised hours - Working a fixed number of hours per year, with more during peak times and less during quieter periods.

Location:

You could be based anywhere in the UK and work fully remote if that would be your preference. If you live close to one of our offices (Manchester, London & Edinburgh) you can choose to work from the office as often as you would like. There might be some occasional travel to the head office in Manchester and to customer sites in the UK.
