Job Description

This role will suit an experienced Digital Analyst, who is confident in their ability to find key insights within data and generate clear recommendations for performance improvement.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience and skill in discovering and communicating insights and recommendations, though a sound technical ability in managing data, generating reports, and a familiarity with Google Analytics and visualising data in PowerBI is required.

The Digital Analyst will be looking at website, marketing and content data across the cultural and tourism industry, and must be comfortable in presenting insights, information and recommending actions to stakeholders across this industry.

The role will focus 3 days a week for one major client, West Midlands Growth Company, closely working with their team on their Business and Tourism Programme - enhancing the West Midlands region's digital visitor offering in the lead up to the 2022 Commonwealth Games. CTConsults has been leading this Digital Visitor Engagement project with WMGC, and this analyst role will strengthen the capabilities of the project team.

Other work will involve a range of tourism and cultural organisations that CTConsults is partnered with to assess and improve their digital capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Generating digital analytics overview reports
  • Generating insight and recommendations reports
  • Maintaining digital analytics dashboards
  • Presenting key findings to clients
  • Working with clients and partners to improve understanding of analytic dashboards, insights, and recommending digital strategies
  • Evaluating success of programmes according to KPIs

 Skill and Knowledge Requirements

  • PowerBI and Google Analytics (knowledge of Google Analytics 4 is preferred)
  • 3+ years in an analyst/insights role with client facing experience
  • Experience in digital focused work
  • Experience in data visualisation and insight reporting
  • Awareness of trends and best practices in digital marketing and data analysis

Person specification

We are looking for someone who will demonstrate the following core competencies:

  • Excellent external communication skills - written and verbal to ensure that colleagues and clients understand recommendations and how to action them
  • Clear interpersonal skills and demonstrate empathy and patience when working with people who lack confidence/skill in digital 
  • High levels of attention to detail 
  • Most likely educated to degree level – in an area of study that has required an ability to research, analyse and present complex, numerical information in an interesting and readable way

£35K +

We are very willing to pay competitively for the right mix of skill, experience and aptitude.

Manchester or Birmingham based (combination of remote and in-office, with travel to both cities required)
