As a Test Engineer, you will help build and assure applications used by DWP staff and claimants.

You will be part of a multi-functional agile delivery team and be an integral part of designing and building automated test solutions that enable the department to deliver quality services consistently that meet the needs of our agents and claimants.

Within Shared Channels Experience the Digital Document Management (DDM) team are responsible for all customer digital evidence.

The successful candidate will work for one of our multi-disciplinary teams within Digital Document Management to support the delivery of accessible user centred designed services to both citizen and DWP colleagues.

We are looking for enthusiastic and ambitious Test Engineers to take the reins and assure quality, working alongside developers, business analysts and other team members both within the team and the wider community to deliver consistent solutions and strategies.

We're looking for you to build automation test solutions to provide faster feedback, assure the quality of products that make up DWP's digital services and contribute towards their design.

As a Test Engineer it's your job to lead our teams as we build and assure applications that will be used by DWP staff and customers.

You'll work across multi-disciplinary teams to shape and deliver automated test solutions that enable DWP to deliver quality services consistently that meet the needs of our agents and customers.

As a Test Engineer you will:

• Be responsible for the testing of applications which make up citizen services.

• Define the appropriate depth and breadth of testing using a risk based approach, and ensuring the stability, robustness and reliability of test suites.

• Work with other teams to ensure that technical solutions are aligned.

• Build automation test solutions that help to assure the quality of our products and services.

• Test all areas of products including functional, business requirements, performance, security and accessibility.

• Work with other engineers across DWP to deliver consistent solutions and strategies, sharing knowledge, insight and best practice.

• Challenge current processes and help improve the ways of working.

• Identify the right tooling to drive innovation and improvement of our testing and our products.

• Responsible for the design and implementation for a project test automation including CI/Cd pipelines.
