EY3 Media are looking for a confident, hardworking and talented Editor and Camera Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be multi-skilled with a good understanding of editing software and experience with editing a variety of video content, as well as understanding the process of taking a project from concept to delivery. Additionally they must have good knowledge of various cameras and the process of capturing cinematic shots to create dynamic and unique videos. They will be working primarily within our video department to support a range of different projects. The role will be based at our offices at The Sharp Project, Manchester. 

 

Requirements

  • Proficiency in the use of a range of camera equipment including cameras, sound equipment and lighting. 

  • Ability to edit high quality and professional content according to brief and demonstrate the ability to work on video projects for a variety of different clients and placements (web, social and broadcast)

  • Understanding of composition, lighting and framing within filmmaking, to create stylish and cinematic frames.

  • Understanding of technical editing techniques and methods including motion graphics and colour grading - experience in animation, visual fx and live is also preferable 

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and similar products (Premiere Pro, After Effects are essential)

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, developing creative ideas and solutions within tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work within a team environment, collaborating with other team members and taking direction from senior management.

  • Candidates will be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, drive and commitment alongside being able to be forward thinking and innovative. 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, effective time management and punctuality. 

  • 2 years+ experience working within a creative agency or similar 

  • Link to showreel must be provided in order to progress through the application process

  • Working through all stages of the production process (pre-production, production and post-production)

  • Working to tight deadlines.

  • Taking direction from the creative lead to fully realise the vision of the project.

  • Providing additional support to the wider team where required.
