Role Summary
As a .Net Developer you will be responsible for developing a mixture of different systems - desktop applications in E-commerce trading applications. The projects are varied, and will expose you to many different asset classes and areas of the bank.
Role Responsibilities
Engagement on projects for GFT clients as a member of the GFT team
Delivery of working software using modern approaches to software development
Design of solution architectures to support project requirements
Management of junior team members
Contributing to the development of the Modern Applications Practice within GFT UK
Supporting GFT sales opportunities, both for current and prospective clients
Competencies and Skills Needed
Mandatory Skills:
Strong commercial experience in .NET, optionally with WPF
Knowledge of computing fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns
Experience of either client-based and web-based application development
Experience of Server Side development
Experience of Real Time applications and multi-threading
Understanding of DevOps principles
Experience of full CI/CD pipeline using one or more of the following: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity
Understanding of infrastructure as code using one or more of the following: Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, Docker, Kubernetes
Software development using Agile methodologies
Understanding of functional, automation and performance testing
Implementation of RESTful API services
