We are investing in Learning within our Corporates market and are seeking an experienced Director who can join our team to both shape, sell and deliver large scale learning projects to clients, as well as help us to grow our Managed Learning Service business. A summary of the job:
The Learning Director is responsible for leading both learning consulting projects and Managed Learning Service (MLS) pursuits in line with the PC Corporates business plan. They will provide strong solution architecture, client engagement and account management in all of these areas. As part of our People Consulting practice, they are responsible for driving client engagement, proactively meeting client needs, successfully building relationships with client stakeholders, and achieving annual sales targets and growth. Strong leadership skills and the ability to engage, challenge, communicate and inspire confidence in leadership and a track record of successful leadership of a large team in a sales environment are essential as is prior experience with Learning Consulting and Managed Learning Services.

The Director must also possess strong client management skills and an ability to build relationships and understand and meet client needs and expectations. They must be able to understand and leverage the full spectrum of KPMG capabilities by proactively building and maintaining strong internal strategic networks across the broader KPMG community.

The Director must embody KPMG’s values, act as a role model, and build commitment and belief toward the accomplishment of the team’s goals.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Be part of our People Consulting Corporates leadership team with the opportunity to leverage our leading practice methodologies and lead our growth ambitions.
  • Work closely with FTSE 100 clients across a broad range of industries including Energy, Telecoms, Retail, Life Sciences and Aerospace & Defence.
  • Build and shape relationships with clients daily.
  • Lead MLS pursuits and bids to achieve revenue targets in line with the PC Corporates business plan
  • Design, develop and execute business development strategy and supporting pursuit plan(s) in line with the PC Corporates business plan
  • Work with solution architects to shape learning solutions tailored to client needs
  • Proactively identify MLS opportunities with PC Corporates clients based on available data for contract expiration to build the MLS pipeline
  • Generate new client opportunities across Learning and MLS by leveraging your Learning expertise and network.
  • Lead the development of our Corporates Learning MLS proposition and assets.
  • Take a lead in knowledge sharing and developing MLS Learning skills internally across our team.
  • Foster personal relationships with senior stakeholders across Corporates Consulting, including the Corporates Consulting Leadership Team (CCLT) and Client Lead Partners, to effectively deliver on the business plan
  • Collaborate with KPMG account teams within Corporates to ensure transparency and connected approach to our engagement with clients
  • Understand and leverage the full spectrum of KPMG capabilities by proactively building and managing strong strategic networks.
  • Be a career coach for the Learning team, helping them to develop and progress their careers

About your experience

  • Strong learning experience at senior levels gained at large consultancy firms
  • Experience of leading and winning high value sales pursuits and managing complex multi-disciplinary bid teams
  • Understanding of Managed Learning Service and the value it brings to organisations
  • Strong Learning, People and Change Management experience; including but not restricted to Learning as an enabler for organisation change, policy implantation, capability and talent programmes, performance management and professional development
  • Ability to network with clients, building strong insight into their business objectives, drivers and needs. Ability to shape solutions with empathy to these needs
  • The credibility and experience to lead KPMG and client teams to assess, design, plan and deliver complex programmes of work
  • Significant people leadership and performance management experience, including experience of coaching or managing a wide range of staff
  • Ability to influence and inspire the confidence of both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt style and message to effectively engage and communicate with different stakeholder groups
  • Exceptional senior stakeholder management and the ability to build networks effectively
  • Ability to collaborate and integrate sales pursuits as part of a wider client engagement strategy
  • Ability to interpret and work effectively with financial information
  • Continually working towards a culture of inclusion
