Reports to: Head of Talent and Skills

 

Location / travel: The post holder will be based in Manchester at our office based on Oxford Road. The role will be hybrid, home working and local site visits (across Greater Manchester and the North West as required by clients). 


Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Hybrid working. Workplace pension.

The Opportunity 

Manchester Digital is looking to recruit a new forward thinking programme delivery manager to lead its suite of apprenticeship academy programmes and initiatives. You will be a dynamic leader providing excellent service and support for employers and learners at every step of their journey with Manchester Digital Academy. 


You will ensure our suite of programme offers are inclusive, compliant and meet market needs, with excellent results. 


Main Duties (summary) 

  • Undertake management of end to end of delivery all apprenticeship programmes under the Manchester Digital Academy offer. 

  • Working  closely with the Apprenticeship Learning and Skills Coach, Digital Marketing Manager, Partnerships Manager, employers, partners and key stakeholders. 

  • Manage all processes and policies related to onboarding learners and employers onto programmes. 

  • Provide effective leadership ensuring a consistent quality of service is delivered to employers and learners.

  • Work with the team to implement a strategy and action plan for quality assurance and improvement across programmes.

  • Ensure the body of technical training materials and resources is reviewed annually,  and maintained as required through a robust change management process.

  • Manage and maintain data management processes and systems. 

  • Deliver internal evaluations and reports of programmes including, diversity, attainment, employer feedback, employer retention and learner retention. 

  • Ensure that the Academy is compliant with legislative regulation and funding rules, and in full readiness for observations and inspections, and funding audits on directly funded contracts and subcontracting arrangements. 

  • Represent Manchester Digital’s Academy externally with partners and stakeholders, including outreach activity.

  • Work with the team to ensure equality, diversity and inclusion is embedded into all aspects of Academy programme design and delivery. 

  • Work with the head of talent and skills to explore other new and enhancements of revenue streams for the business. 

  • Deputise for the head of talent and skills where required.

  • Has experience of working in apprenticeships, programme or professional services delivery roles. 

  • Has an excellent organisational skills and track record of managing, meeting and prioritising internal and external deadlines. 

  • Has relationship building skills and is able to manage multiple stakeholder relationships effectively. 

  • Is Computer literate, proficient in GSuite and MS Office.

  • Is able to use online collaboration and productivity tools and platforms.

  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 

  • Is adaptable and has good personal resilience. 

  • Is motivated, enthusiastic and committed to the success of your learners.

  • Has a passion for your profession and shares our determination to be outstanding. 

  • Has knowledge and experience of Ofsted and ability to support delivery teams to develop towards outstanding results. 

  • Has up-to-date knowledge of ESFA funding rules.

  • Has excellent knowledge and experience of of data management. 

  • Has knowledge of the Apprenticeship Levy and Levy Transfer Funding.

  • Has a proven track record for maintaining and improving quality assurance processes and systems

  • Can provide timely and appropriate feedback to partners and stakeholders 

  • Can carry out duties in a way which promotes fairness in all matters and which engenders trust and confidence. 

  • Is IQA qualified or willing to work towards this. 

  • Engages in continuous personal and professional development in line with the demands of the role, including undertaking relevant training and development activities to develop yourself and support the development of others. 


It’s also desirable but only an added bonus if you have experience in the digital sector of any kind, in particular, related to apprenticeships or technical training in software development, business analysis, and data analysis.
