The Company and Project
Our client are a scale-up consultancy, who were originally based in Germany but they now have a fully remote, distributed team. They are looking to bring in multiple Senior Full Stack Engineers to build out a brand new internal tool which will act as a handbook of documentation and knowledge base for their clients.
As they started building the platform a few months ago, its the perfect balance of challenging work but not coming into something messy with a lot of technical debt. This will be a long-term project with a lot of opportunity to drive their engineering processes.
The founders have an incredibly impressive technical background and want excellent technical practices at the core of their company. Both of them have founded and grown multiple successful startups, co-founded one of the largest tech meetup groups in Europe, contribute to open source projects and won numerous hackathons.
In the 5 years the company has been running, not one person has handed in their notice.
They have a blame-free culture built on true trust and autonomy.
Choose how you work best, for example if you want to work a 4 day compressed work week, if you want to take Friday off and work on Sunday, if you want to work 2pm-10pm. As long as you participate in stand-ups, they don’t care how you get your work done.
There’s no micromanagement, internal politics or hierarchy.
They're the kind of people who would value if you spent the time to properly research a problem to create a good solution instead of rushing to meet arbitrary deadlines
The basis of their technical strategy is formed around no chaos and stress free releases.
The Tech Stack
This is a senior level full stack role with an emphasis on the back end.

Your day to day responsibilities will include :
End- to end responsibility from designing to implementing and deploying both the backend and the frontend, using Node.js, React and GraphQL
Write reliable, modular, well-tested, and clean code
Develop and design APIs to be consumed by frontends and third parties
Proactively raise ideas and issues, contributing to designs with feedback and suggestions for improvement
Support other team members through peer review
Help to optimize their development processes and build tools
Ensure progress, issues and ideas are communicated clearly to the right people
Whats in it for you?
This role is paying around £70,000 but there is flex on the top end for an exceptional candidate.
The interview process :
Generally the interview process involves a short technical task, a 1 hour interview with the client and a 1 hour interview with the end client. All interviews are conducted remotely and if you have any specific requirements or need adjustments in the process please let us know so we can make it work for you
