Technical Lead, Engineering

Due to a restructure, we are hiring up to 3 x Technical Leads within our development team, who will each provide technical guidance and mentoring, to drive continuous improvement.

Working in a cross functional, self-organised Scrum team, you will be required to deliver high quality, complex changes in line with our product backlogs. You will be required to demonstrate excellent communication and motivation skills to help the team deliver to your sprint goal.

You are also responsible for line management of a small group of engineers.

Your time will be split roughly as follows (subject to review): 

- Technical Specialism (40%)
- Line Management (20%)
- Active Development (40%)

** ABOUT YOU **

You will need to have 5+ years’ experience with C# and/or knowledge of JavaScript, SQL, Node.js or GIT, and a desire to improve ways of working to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Ideally you'll have 2+ years' experience managing people, but we are also happy to consider applications from people with a desire to manage people.

You will need to be a subject matter expert in at least one area of software development, as set out below:

- UI/UX
- Cloud technologies
- DevOps
- Data
- Quality and testing

** BASE LOCATION **

This role is based in Glasshouse, Alderley Edge, Cheshire. We do require people who can easily commute to our office.
