£41,000 - £50,000 plus benefits (Grade E16)
Manchester city centre/ remote

We’re currently working remotely due to Covid. The future will see us working in a hybrid way, with a mixture of home and office working.

We’re looking for a technical CRO developer to join our digital team at Co-op and develop dynamic conversion rate optimisation programmes to help improve customer journeys, improve conversion rates, sales, and user experiences. You’d be part of a team helping our array of Co-op businesses make the most of digital. We start with user needs, we’re agile, we iterate, and we’re open. If you can bring us the skills, we’re after, this is a great opportunity to join us and build a career in digital.

You’ll work in a multi-disciplinary team as part of our dynamic analytics and optimisation team, and it’ll be up to you to support our digital optimisation and personalisation programme across our Co-op businesses, whether that be Food, Insurance or Funeralcare for example.

What you’ll do

• conduct A/B testing and personalisation development
• Adobe Target & Launch development including troubleshooting, debugging, profile script, and audience setups
• produce roadmaps of test plans and hypothesise based on user data
• develop a deep understanding of our online performance
• work collaboratively with the central web team and content teams embedded within business units to achieve our business goals
• make sure our activity across the web is valuable, usable, and feasible, while meeting the needs of members, colleagues, and customers
• help to make the customer online experience as smooth as possible to drive performance

This role would suit people who have

• experience producing test plans to optimise digital journeys
• experience working with Adobe Target and Launch including deployments and maintenance
• experience working on SPAs
• significant front-end development experience (this might include an engineering qualification)
• front-end coding proficiency including JavaScript, CSS and HTML
• a good understanding of digital analytics
• an understanding of digital performance drivers and optimisation processes
• end-to-end experimentation experience, from defining research through to results

Why Co-op?

Here you’ll do work that matters. We’re a commercial organisation with a purpose beyond profit, you’ll have an opportunity to help us build a stronger Co-op and stronger communities. You’ll also get a package that includes:

• competitive salary
• coaching, training and support to help you develop
• pension with up to 10% employer contributions
• annual incentive scheme
• 28 days holiday (rising to 32 in line with service)
• discounts on Co-op products and services

Building an inclusive work environment

We’re actively building diverse teams and welcome applications from everyone. But simply having a diverse workforce is not enough. We aim to build an inclusive environment, where everyone can contribute their best work and develop to their full potential. We celebrate our differences, and recognise the importance of teams reflecting the communities they serve.

We can make adjustments to our interview process according to your needs. And we offer a flexible working environment so you can adjust your hours to suit your personal circumstances. You can find out more about Co-op people policies at coop.co.uk/peoplepolicies.

As part of your application you’ll need to complete an online assessment. It will take you around 12 minutes to complete this test.
