CODE APPOINTED TO GIVE CROWN DECORATING CENTRES' SITE THE PROFESSIONAL TOUCH

Code will be giving the trade brand's website www.crowndecoratorcentre.co.uk a new lick of paint as well as implementing an ECRM strategy. The new project follows the success of Crown's new consumer website produced by Code last year. www.crownpaint.co.uk is now a major online resource for home improvers and evolved Crown into an expert in home decors, not just a manufacturer of paint. Crown Decorating Centres are dedicated to the professional painter and decorator, but are also open to members of the public and DIY enthusiasts. They not only sell trade paints, decorating sundries, accessories and equipment, and offer equipment hire; but are an invaluable source of expert advice and support. David Fish, marketing manager for Crown Decorating Centres, said: "We are investing in the digital channel as an effective means to extend the service and relationship we have we our customers through our 1000 Decorating Centres nationwide. Code has proposed a strong strategy for our new website, which we hope to launch to the trade in July 2009." Code Computerlove account director Alex Comyn added: "Crown Decorating Centres are not only a place for professional decorators to get trade products; knowledgeable behind-the-counter staff have a great relationship with regular customers and provide excellent levels of service - giving product advice, sharing tips they've gained from other customers and putting them in contact with others 'in the know'. This is of great value to sole traders, where the social side of visiting the stores is as important as it being a great place to purchase well-priced products. "We will be looking to recreate all of the benefits of visiting a Crown Decorating Centre online and building stronger relationships with customers through ECRM."
