Code Cleans Up the Big Chips

CODE COMPUTER LOVE CLEANS UP THE BIG CHIPS

Manchester-based digital communications agency, Code Computer Love, emerged as the clear winners at the 2005 Big Chip Awards. Code picked up a record five trophies – including the top Grand Prix prize – at the ceremony which was held at Manchester’s New Century Hall on Thursday 24th February.

With a judging panel chaired by Michael Nutley, editor of the digital industry’s leading title, New Media Age, the Big Chip Awards are held to recognise the best of the North West’s digital talent. ‘Future Proof’, a CD-ROM produced by Code for Keele University, won both the Best Use of Design and Best DVD/CD categories, before later being announced as the overall Grand Prix winner. Code also won Best Commercial Website for its work on www.huggiesclub.com, Kimberly Clark’s online community for pregnant and new Mums, as well as the Best Not for Profit category for a website created for Refuge, the national charity for women and children who experience domestic violence.

Code Computer Love managing director, Tony Foggett, commented, “Code is really flying high at the moment and it’s great to have our work recognised through awards such as the Big Chips. In the past four months we’ve been voted Adline’s New Media Agency of the Year; won the Grand Prix at the BIMAS (British Interactive Marketing Awards) and picked up five Big Chip awards, including the Grand Prix. Our objective is now to maintain our reputation as Manchester’s leading digital communications agency, which we recognise is a tall order in a city that can boast such a wealth of digital media talent”.

Code Computer Love, formed in April 1999, has an impressive client list which, in addition to Keele University, Huggies and Refuge, includes Centura Foods (Sharwood’s), BUPA, Kotex, HMV and Blue Arrow Recruitment.
