Platform81 complete website redesign for Stockport County

Based just a few minutes’ walk from the Platform81 office in Stockport, the agency first began working with the Edgeley Park club ahead of their 2017/18 season by designing, building and launching a new site for the club.

In their latest video announcing this next step in the Hatters’ journey, Stopfordians are described as having a ‘unique community spirit that believes in the power of togetherness’, and the digital agency believe this could not be truer when it comes to their work with the club.

With a new owner, the club is embarking on its next chapter at Edgeley Park, describing it as an evolution, not a revolution and building the future whilst preserving the past. As a result, it was important for the Platform81 team to redesign the club website to be in line with the look and feel of the new crest and brand, while also maintaining the club’s historic colours.

The new website has been simplified from a usability perspective on both the desktop and mobile site, which will provide an ease of use to those fans, sponsors and other supporters using the website.

Platform81 Founder, Nick Wroe said:

It’s a great time to be involved with Stockport County, and working closely with the new owners to refresh the design of the website and introduce the new brand to the fans has been an absolute pleasure. Once football gets going again after lockdown, the future is bright for County and it’s a privilege to be involved.”

SCFC Brand and Communications Director David Ancell said:

Platform81 were fantastic from start to finish. They completely understood our requirements and delivered an updated website that perfectly complimented the new Club badge. A great partner to the Club as always.”
