To further its economic ambitions, Cheshire & Warrington are delivering a programme of digital infrastructure improvements and related business support to maximise economic impact.
The Skills and Growth Company of Cheshire East Council is leading this programme on behalf of the region, and requires mobilisation services through to the end of September 2017.
The work will provide to the end of September 2017: Mobilisation, contractual and financial compliance in relation to a broadband delivery project through European Structural Investment Funds (ESIF) and Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK). Delivery of a compliant OJEU procurement for broadband infrastructure in line with agreed programme timescales and ERDF/BDUK requirements, and deliver associated non-OJEU procurements related to SME Voucher Scheme and Digital Business Support initiatives.
These services are required to mobilise a programme under European Structural Investment Funds (ESIF) and Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) relating to the implementation of broadband infrastructure and digital services across Cheshire & Warrington.
The Digital 2020 programme will enhance access to ICTs for SMEs in the Cheshire & Warrington LEP area. It will improve the quality (speed and reach) of digital infrastructure and boost the use of digital technology by businesses. Digital 2020 will strengthen the competitive potential of SMEs, help develop new products and services, and ensure businesses exploit e-commerce opportunities to access new markets.
