Product Business Development Manager Position

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to work as part of our established leadership team in our Products and Solutions Team.

Two-time winners of the Queen’s Awards for Innovation in 2018 and 2022, Informed Solutions services and platforms help clients accelerate and de-risk digital business change improve customer satisfaction by creating better online experiences and transform operational effectiveness through AI-enabled data science-powered decision support.

  • InformedENGAGE©, a Queen’s Award-winning digital experience platform designed specifically for complex transactions, making even the most complicated customer services an interactive and positive experience.
  • InformedINSIGHT©, an open-standards-based data integration and analytics platform that unifies an organisation’s information landscape, turning data science into real world decision support.
  • InformedDECISION©, a first-of-its-kind Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) platform that allows organisations to make better, faster, more informed decisions.

As Business Development Manager, you will work with the Product Director, having a key role in building trusted relationships and selling our products in our strategic sectors, both in the UK and internationally (predominately Malaysia and Australia). You will:

  • Play a lead role in securing enterprise-level digital platform sales within public and private sectors at national, regional and local levels.
  • Be an ambassador for the company as well as securing profitable, sustainable product-led business that supports our growth and enhances our reputation.
  • Build strong, lasting client relationships based on trust, including negotiating and building rapport with senior stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the product development team to continually evolve product value propositions, the solutions they support and the services that accompany them.
  • Work with the Product and Finance Directors to design deals that ensure our contracts are sustainable and profitable.
  • Work with the Product and Engagement Directors to build strategic partnerships and alliances from across our marketplace to ensure we offer the most attractive mix of capability and capacity to our prospective clients.
  • Contribute to business development efforts of the wider product team, including on bid and proposition development.


  • Excellent knowledge of the digital market and the ability to position our products to a range of national, regional and local buyers.
  • A structured, hands-on approach that draws on proven experience in applying best practice sales techniques in a similar environment.
  • A passion for developing business through building lasting relationships and representing a strong, trusted corporate brand.
  • A leadership style that is engaging, trustworthy and confident, with the ability to liaise with a wide variety of decision makers to Director level.
  • A communications style that is compelling and engaging, combined with a relationship management approach that is friendly and approachable.
  • An understanding of the products and services that encompass enterprise and national scale digital transformation solutions in public and private sectors.
  • Outstanding presentation, proposition development and time management skills, and a willingness and ability to develop these skills in others.
  • Comfortable with product-led contracts with deal sizes in excess of £500k.
  • Able to work constructively and collaboratively with colleagues under pressure.

Other Information


There is flexibility to be based out of our London or Manchester offices, however given the nature of the role, you will need to travel to co-locate with colleagues and clients across the UK, developing strategic relationships through the appropriate combination of face-to-face and digital engagement.
