Role Overview

We are looking for a driven and confident Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Manchester-based sales team. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience in cold calling and outbound marketing initiatives who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

As an SDR, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through proactive outbound activity, qualifying prospects, and booking high-quality meetings for the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new sales opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and other outbound channels

  • Execute targeted outbound marketing initiatives aligned with company campaigns and sector focus

  • Research and identify prospective customers within defined target markets

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess need, budget, authority, and timing

  • Book and attend discovery meetings (virtual or in-person) for Account Managers

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system

  • Consistently achieve and exceed activity and meeting targets

  • Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to refine messaging and approach

  • Stay informed on Advantage Business Systems’ products, services, and value proposition

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in a Sales Development, Telesales, or Business Development role

  • Strong background in cold calling and outbound prospecting

  • Experience supporting or executing outbound marketing campaigns

  • Confident, clear, and persuasive communication skills

  • Resilient mindset with the ability to handle objections professionally

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Comfortable working to KPIs and sales targets

  • Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools

Desirable Skills

  • Experience selling B2B solutions or services

  • Familiarity with consultative or solution-based sales approaches

  • Knowledge of the UK SME or enterprise market

  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar tool
