Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and confident Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Manchester-based sales team. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience in cold calling and outbound marketing initiatives who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
As an SDR, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through proactive outbound activity, qualifying prospects, and booking high-quality meetings for the sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively generate new sales opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and other outbound channels
Execute targeted outbound marketing initiatives aligned with company campaigns and sector focus
Research and identify prospective customers within defined target markets
Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess need, budget, authority, and timing
Book and attend discovery meetings (virtual or in-person) for Account Managers
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system
Consistently achieve and exceed activity and meeting targets
Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to refine messaging and approach
Stay informed on Advantage Business Systems’ products, services, and value proposition
Required Experience & Skills
Proven experience in a Sales Development, Telesales, or Business Development role
Strong background in cold calling and outbound prospecting
Experience supporting or executing outbound marketing campaigns
Confident, clear, and persuasive communication skills
Resilient mindset with the ability to handle objections professionally
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working to KPIs and sales targets
Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
Desirable Skills
Experience selling B2B solutions or services
Familiarity with consultative or solution-based sales approaches
Knowledge of the UK SME or enterprise market
Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar tool
