The role

As a Channel Marketing Manager at Distology, you’ll be leading the day-to-day management of the Channel Marketing team and support the Marketing Director at Distology. You will take ownership of the team management, partner & vendor management, campaign & event management, mailing campaigns and stock management whilst striving to improve the brand awareness, promotion, communication, and delivery of marketing initiatives for both Distology and vendors. We will also teach you to be a cybersecurity specialist– one of the most sought-after knowledge sets in the IT market today! – our cybersecurity specialisations span identity management, device, boundaryless network, multi-cloud and cybersecurity operations.

We’re a specialist IT distributor with difference – that means we sell cybersecurity solutions to channel partners, who sell them to their customers as part of a solution to an IT challenge. What’s the “difference” – everyone at Distology specialises heavily in a cybersecurity subject and then we use that specialisation to teach our channel partners and support them on calls with their customers where needed so that they’re more successful.

Is this role right for you?
Distology now has a fabulous opportunity for you to join our Marketing team as a Channel Marketing Manager during an exciting period of growth. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience, within a Marketing role some of which with managerial position (not necessarily in the IT channel!), who are now looking to take the next step in their career and in delivering a great service for Distology into our channel partners and vendors.

What we expect you to do in the role:

  •  Ensuring approved marketing activities for the team are comprehensively logged.
  • Helping the marketing Director to create quarterly marketing plans.
  • Ensuring MDF has been approved for all campaigns.
  • Helping the Channel Marketing team to create a progress plan for each approved campaign.
  • Update marketing team of upcoming events in the monthly meeting.
  • Assisting the Marketing Director with other vendor campaigns or Distology focused event.
  • Monthly reporting of campaign plans, progress, and results.
  • Ensuring cross team communication within the Marketing team.
  • Building quarterly marketing plans for the specified vendors using partner campaigns, third party events, lead gen activities such as LinkedIn advertising etc, or Distology-led activities to build pipeline opportunities.
  • Monthly vendor meetings to obtain MDF to cover the cost of pipeline generating
  • Monthly meetings with strategic partners to plan, negotiate and agree quarterly
    marketing activity to generate pipeline
  • Constantly build and maintain strong relationships with both our channel partners and technology vendors
  • Manage and lead the Channel Marketing team to build their own plans against
    Distology/Vendor/Partner deadlines and budgets
  • Approve marketing request forms for the Channel Marketing team, generating
    Salesforce campaign codes and PO numbers for approved campaigns
  • Nurturing the Channel Marketing team to feel confident and comfortable in building their own plans within their area of specialism & helping the team to obtain MDF
  • Working closely with Distology’s Content Creative Assistant to ensure all vendor
    webpages on the Distology website are kept up to date with the latest product
  • Working closely with Distology’s Content Creative Assistant to ensure all vendor
    news has been communicated across the team to include in partner newsletters and social planners

What we need from you now and throughout your time with us:

  • Actively represent Distology each day reflecting the core company values by being agile, a trusted expert, ambitious, innovative, and positive
  • Have at least 2-4 years’ marketing experience
  • Have natural rapport building skills
  • Maintain the drive and desire to be successful
  • Energy, energy, energy!
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Be a self-starter who can quickly take ownership of the role and with a desire to grow and achieve
  • Have a passion to continue to expand your marketing knowledge
  • Demonstrate passion, enthusiasm, and self-confidence in everything you do
  • Be able to work both independently and within a team
  • Have an active professional interest in business and cybersecurity technology
  • Excellent Communication Skills – including excellent verbal and written English and you must be comfortable at presenting 1:1 and in front of small and large groups of people – it’s part of the day job!
