Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) are working on a joint venture with Manchester Digital to deliver a Cyber Resilience Centre (CRC) for Greater Manchester. The intention is to create a collaborative nexus between Policing, the Private and Public sector, to provide a targeted programme of preventative work to increase the take-up of cybersecurity measures to safeguard Greater Manchester’s business community.
The centre will launch in early November and there will be an initial series of engagement events to share more with the business community during September and October.
This role is an excellent opportunity to make a difference to the security and prosperity of all businesses across Greater Manchester. The Coordinator will be pivotal to the running of the CRC and will be the first point of engagement for businesses seeking our support and also in developing an outreach programme and marketing the centre’s services. As this is a brand new initiative we need someone who is not afraid to work under their own initiative and will find the process of building a sustainable not-for-profit business exciting and fulfilling.
The role will report directly to the Managing Director and will be critical in both the smooth running and the future success of the CRC. The post holder will work alongside secondees from GMP as well as having a small support team to manage.
