Project Manager/ SCRUM Master

The Role

We are looking for a Project Manager to help us deliver our current goals more efficiently. The successful candidate will strive to make constant improvements and increase the delivery performance of the development teams. You should fully understand Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM and Kanban, and know when it is best to use them.

You’ll be working in a cross-functional team with a wealth of experience in Development, Product, UX, QA and agile (Scrum) delivery. 

This role is right for you if you excel at delivering software product features, enjoy working collaboratively in an Agile team, and have a good familiarity with DevOps principles for the continuous delivery of software.

Responsibilities: 

  • Managing teams of 5-15
  • Identifying and assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience and strengths of staff members
  • Maintain delivery momentum in the team, and set priorities in accordance with the Product team and senior stakeholders
  • Support and champion the delivery process and value of the ceremonies, events and the team to achieve the continuous improvement and delivery of value to the customer 
  • Lead Sprint Planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and sprint demo sessions, ensuring the sessions are providing the required value
  • Understand how to estimate software requirements within the agile framework, and support the team in this process
  • Contributing to evolution of development practices and processes

Essential Experience: 

  • Solid commercial experience with Project Management 
  • Ability to work through conflicting priorities to provide a clear direction for team members and communicate this effectively
  • Effective communicator – both spoken and written
  • An ability to effectively manage complexity and ambiguity to provide clarity and understanding.
  • A proactive manager of risks and issues, seeking mitigating actions / removing blockers and ability to escalate in a timely fashion senior stakeholders
  • Good understanding of DevOps principles and experience of a modern CI/CD platform
