We’re looking for a Data & Insight Analyst to join our Digital Technology & Data function in Manchester to help us make the most out of our data and inform decision making across Co-op. You’ll be working as part of our Central Analytics and BI team – focusing specifically on one of our key business areas.
As a Data & Insight Analyst at Co-op we’ll look to you to use advanced analytical techniques to support projects and provide meaningful, data-driven insights to colleagues; bringing us even closer to our vision of ‘co-operating to build more value for our member-owners every day’. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way – splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
What you’ll do
- Deliver end-to-end analytics projects, using a wide variety of advanced analytics techniques using data from various sources
- Collaborate with key partners across the wider business; identifying opportunities where analytics can help to make informed decisions
- Build an understanding of how each project interacts with the wider business
- Share your findings and recommendations in a way that is accessible for both technical and non-technical audiences
This role would suit people who have
- Experience in data analytics with significant data modelling experience
- Experience writing and developing code using SQL, SAS, Python (or equivalents)
- Experience analysing and working with large data sets
- Strong numeracy skills, with a background in maths, statistics or equivalent
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex data in a compelling and accessible way
