User Researcher
£40,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)
Manchester city centre (hybrid working)
We’re looking for a User Researcher to join us in Manchester to help build better products and services for our food store colleagues. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way – splitting your time between home, the office, and visiting our stores across the UK (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
As a User Researcher at Co-op, we’ll look to you to use a blend of qualitative and quantitative research activities to collect insights that we can use to improve our colleagues’ experiences.
What you’ll do
- Work collaboratively within a product team to design products and services that meet the needs of our colleagues
- Conduct qualitative research activities to understand our users and their needs
- Work alongside our optimisation experts to collect quantitative research for our colleague-facing products and services
- Analyse the findings of these research activities and share them with colleagues at all levels of seniority
This role would suit people who have
- Experience in an analytics or research-focussed role
- Experience planning, facilitating and conducting interviews and usability testing
- An understanding of broader user and customer experience measurements
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain often intricate information to colleagues with limited design experience
- The ability to use insights to recommend improvements to a product or service based on user needs, business goals, and accessibility
Why Co-op?
If you’ve got the skills and experience we’re looking for, we can offer you a competitive salary and great benefits package which includes 30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores (as well as other discounts on Co-op products and services). You’ll also get:
- An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
- 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
- A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
- Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
- Coaching and training to support your career development
- Wagestream – a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
- YuLife – an app that rewards you for exercising with discounts and vouchers for your favourite brands
