Development Manager - £70,000 - Wrexham - B2B

As the development manager the successful candidate will work closely with the Product Manager to map out the future vision of the product, offering guidance on technologies, solution architecture and technical feasibility of business requirements

To do this you must be comfortable investigating and suggesting new technologies, coordinating feasibility studies, building prototypes and understanding the implications of the technology choices on our existing product suite. As the development manager you will be responsible for the man-management of the development team, providing direction, monitoring performance and conducting reviews. You will be a technical lead and mentor for the team and will ultimately be responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of software that meets the business requirements and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to the principal developer for producing high- quality solutions
  • Manage a team of developers through projects from design to delivery
  • Take responsibility for project delivery and resolve issues that arise in a timely manner to allow the team to meet deadlines
  • Manage development priorities within a project to ensure timely delivery and adequate support cover
  • Investigate and manage implementation of future technologies
  • Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration
  • Maintain and share the product vision and direction with the development team
  • Ensure that features are designed and delivered to the highest standards
  • Improve the technical competence of the development team

About you:

  • At least 4 years’ experience developing applications using the .NET Framework
  • A proven leader
  • A vision of how new technology can improve our products
  • Excellent technical coding skills with attention to detail, an ordered approach to problem solving and a desire to produce work of outstanding quality and reliability
  • ASP .NET/MVC
  • C# • Angular
  • SQL Server, T-SQL and SQL Management Studio
  • N-Tier Architecture
  • Visual Studio
  • HTML 5/CSS/jQuery
