NCSC Launch 2020 Annual Review

Since the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) was created in 2016 as part of the government’s five-year National Cyber Security Strategy, it has worked to make the UK the safest place to live and work online.

This Annual Review of its fourth year looks back at some of the key developments and highlights from the NCSC’s work between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020.

"Over the past four years, the NCSC has transformed the UK’s approach to cyber security and set a benchmark for other countries to follow. I am delighted to join the NCSC and relish the opportunity to take this world-leading organisation to the next level.

It is a great privilege to present the fourth Annual Review of the National Cyber Security Centre, a part of GCHQ. I am honoured to have been appointed as the NCSC’s second Chief Executive Officer, taking over from Ciaran Martin who was so pivotal in the development of this world-leading organisation."

The NCSC's new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Lindy Cameron
