Rochdale’s Early Evening Economy to receive digital push

Digital Agency Fast Web Media has been charged with delivering a promotional campaign to support the evening economy of Rochdale in what represents the first major digital push for the town.

Working with Rochdale Town Centre Management, Fast Web Media have put together a digital communications strategy to spread the message that Rochdale is open for business. Under the banner of Alive After 5 the campaign will promote the town’s pubs and restaurants to those working and living in the area, as well as those within reach via public transport.

Head of Agency, Rob Weatherhead said of the news, “This is a really pleasing one for me personally. As somebody who grew up in Rochdale, I can see the investment and effort that is going into growing the Town Centre and it is great to be able to play a part in promoting their hard work.”

Paul Ambrose, Town Centre Manager said of the appointment, “The campaign the FWM team put together was precisely what the Town Centre needs; we are looking forward to getting going.  Our recent successful campaign to set up a Business Improvement District will result in a further £1.5 million investment in coming years, and we look forward to promoting our town further.”

Councillor John Blundell, Cabinet Member for Regeneration has high hopes for the campaign and the town:

"Rochdale is growing in stature and the Council is dedicated to maintaining this momentum. By highlighting our fantastic venues and vibrant early evening atmosphere, the Alive After 5  campaign is the perfect vehicle to achieve this goal. We're confident it'll delight residents and attract new visitors to the town centre.

"We have invested heavily in our town centre and have ambitious plans for the future. This is just the start."
