Made With Jam gives away 1000 free websites to good causes

Do you know a charity that would benefit from a better, simpler, more user-friendly website? Nominet Trust-funded web design initiative madewithjam.org have teamed up with national volunteering and learning charity CSV for this year’s Make A Difference Day to enable charities, community groups and not-for-profit organisations to make effective one page websites.

From October 15th to November 4th 2012, madewithjam.org have 1000 easy to use websites to give to worthy causes across Britain. These websites will be free for one year.

Volunteers are being encouraged to share their digital, marketing or creative skills and use Jam’s simple website editor to help a cause they care about to create a beautiful one page site that communicates their message clearly.

You don’t have to be a web design whizz to get involved, it’s quick and easy to build a website with Jam, even if you’ve never done so before – and you can even download a short workshop guide to help your organisation plan out their new site on paper.

So, if you’ve always meant to help an organisation that matters to you improve their online communications, why not take up the Make A Difference Day challenge and give two hours this October to help someone make a website that makes a difference?
