The Centre for Digital Trust and Society was launched in 2021 to focus interdisciplinary research expertise at the University of Manchester on the barriers and enablers of trust in digital technologies. We welcome researchers, public sector, industry and community partners with an interest in digital trust and security issues in society to join us for an engaging day of building connections and sharing insights. Lunch will be provided and the event will be followed by a networking reception.

We are delighted to welcome Professor Madeline Carr (UCL) as our Keynote speaker for the event. Other distinguished speakers include: international guest experts (Professors Bart Preneel (KU Leuven) and Liz Campbell (Monash University)); leading University of Manchester expertise across the digital trust and security space (Professors  Richard Allmendinger,   Emma Barrett, Peter Knight, Nicholas Lord, Stephen Hutchings, Sophia Ananiadou, and Drs Louise Dennis and André Freitas), guests from other UK-Based Higher Education Institutes (Bella Orpen (Cardiff University) and Professors Peter Kawalek (Loughborough University) and Keely Crockett (MMU)); and guests from industry and the public sector  (Laura Waters (Ofcom) and Dr Robin Renwick (Trilateral Research)).
