Manchester Metropolitan University Business School has opened recruitment for its final Manchester LEAD programme, starting on 17th March 2011. LEAD is the practical 10-month leadership development programme aimed at business leaders with between 5 - 50 staff and a North West trading address. It has a proven track record of providing a hugely positive impact on both the development of the business and on the personal development of the business leader.
MMU is one of thirteen Providers delivering the programme across the Northwest and the programme is supported by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA).
The Centre for Enterprise at MMU invites you to join our LEAD delegates at this Taste of LEAD event withAlex Connock - Chief Executive of Ten Alps PLC, UK Factual Media Company. Alex co-founded Ten Alpsin 1999 with Bob Geldof for £1 and listed it in 2001 on AiM, after a TV and Radio production background at BBC, Granada and Planet 24. Alex will share his personal journey with you about facing and overcoming real-world challenges to grow into a PLC from where he started from in 1999 with co-founder Bob Geldof. He will talk about developing his strategy for success and overcoming failures along the way.
This event is your chance to consider applying for a place on LEAD with the university. You will also be able to network with existing delegates who currently benefit from our programme. Registrations of interest and applications are being accepted before and on the day. Staff are on hand to talk about the programme structure, the commitment involved, and to advise on your eligibility for bursaries and the Manchester City Council LEAD grant.
