This event has now ended.

Over the course of three presentations and a Q&A with experienced digital strategists, this event will demystify the world of digital strategy. We will show that, far from being an impenetrable discipline, a good digital strategy consists of very real and tangible steps that you can take to ensure that your organisation squeezes maximum value and effect from its digital presence – whether you’re starting out on your digital journey or better aligning your existing resources.

1.       What is Digital Strategy?

Farooq Ansari, Digital Consultant, Reading Room

An introduction to this rapidly evolving field. We’ll cover what it means, and – with real-world examples – we’ll demonstrate the importance of a good strategy in achieving tangible commercial, creative and organisational benefits, and conclude with an overview of key factors and trends influencing the digital strategy landscape.

2.       Continuous Improvement (or...Beyond Maintenance!)

Jenni Allen, Digital Strategist, Reading Room

This presentation looks at the value of an ongoing improvement programme to ensure the continued effectiveness of your web presence.  This includes the types of measurement which can be undertaken as well as the types of criteria which should be considered when assessing effectiveness.

3.       Case Studies

We’ll run though a number of notable case studies that demonstrate Reading Room’s experience in this field, and which span a diverse range of sectors, client aims and objectives. Using these examples we’ll demonstrate how the elements set out in the first two presentations can be brought to life to yield dramatic benefits for a diverse set of clients.

4.       Q & A

Our expert speakers will take any questions arising out of the preceding presentations, along with any relevant related questions that you may have.

We're looking forward to seeing you for what we hope will be an engaging session where we cut through the hype to offer real-world solutions based on the latest thinking in this increasing relevant and fascinating field. In addition to the featured speakers, you'll be able to talk to various members of the Reading Room team.

The event includes a hearty Northern breakfast and other refreshments.
