Manchester Girl Geeks Science Jamboree at MadLab is part of the fifth Manchester Science Festival. At venues across Greater Manchester from 22 - 30 October 2011, Manchester Science Festival celebrates its 5th birthday with a packed programme of comedy, debates, art/science events and family fun.
On Sunday, the 30th October, the Manchester Girl Geeks will be taking over MadLab in the Northern Quarter for an afternoon of fantastic science fair events. Teawitter will be providing a full-on tea and cake stall on the ground floor, and MadLab's top floor will be filled with exciting events manned by Girl Geeks and Manchester Science Festival volunteers. There'll be mathematical origami, HTML workshops, kitchen chemistry, maths games and puzzles, circuit building, and scientific face painting! Come and join us for an afternoon of science fun, and meet your local Girl Geeks.
Science-themed Teawitter (downstairs)
The teawitter party is an excuse for Manchester's lovers of things tea (and coffee!), cake and twitter related to get together and swap tales, put names to faces and enjoy the best in home made confection! It's a social gathering, a way to meet friends old and new, and build on the thriving tea party twitter community!
