On Thursday 24 March, 200 digital, PR and creative types will be descending on Noho in a bid to raise lots of money for Manchester-based charity Wood Street Mission.

Manchester Twestival, the local arm of the global Twitter-powered fundraising initiative 'Twestival, is happening in just one week's time!

As part of a global 'Twitter Festival', we're coming together at an event on 24 March to raise money for Wood Street Mission, a local charity whose aim is to alleviate the effects of poverty on children in families in Manchester and Salford. The charity was chosen with input from across the community.

This is a great opportunity to meet people you've already been tweeting and find new people to follow, as well as raising money for a great, local cause. People coming will be a mix of ordinary tweeters, digital and creative types and everyone else!
