Manchester Digital Development Agency (MDDA) invites you to “Oxford Road Fibre Network – What Next?”, an event to update everyone on progress to date and what happens next.

One year on from the start of work, the Oxford Road Corridor Digitisation Project’s fibre optic Network, which aims to bring the most affordable and accessible Next Generation Access Fibre network  across parts of Manchester, has seen the installation of new fibre optic cables allowing businesses and the wider community in parts of the Corridor area of the city to connect directly to next generation fibre broadband, creating a true open access network which will revolutionise ways of working and using digital communications. It’s been a lot more challenging than we expected but we’re nearly there and have learnt a lot about how to do it so please join us to find out more.

This event is aimed at any business, landlord, ISP / content provider or community organisation looking to find out more about the network & how to get involved.

Topics to be covered during the event include:

  • The building of the network
  • Location & reach
  • Product range
  • Pricing strategy & objectives
  • From an ISP’s prospective
  • What next and how to get involved
