Tribal Education has been commissioned by The UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) to conduct workshops to explore barriers employers face when recruiting unemployed people and young people.

The workshops will look to:

•    Identify from a business perspective the barriers that exist to employing unemployed people, including: long term unemployed people, young people and ex-offenders.

•    Understand where there are opportunities for businesses to recruit more unemployed people and offer work experience and how best government can support businesses to do so.

•    Understand how and whether retention is important for employers in sectors and what opportunities exist for individuals to progress.

•    Identify steps that sectors and business can take forward to address barriers to support more unemployed people to access work or offer experience of work opportunities

We anticipate that the workshop will be an invigorating and informative discussion and an opportunity to share practice and experience in relation to the recruitment, retention and progression of unemployed people in your sector.
