DESCRIPTION

Join us for our first session at Manchester Science Park. The South Manchester Dojo is a new free computer coding club for young people aged 7-17, where parents and kids can learn to code using fun tools and resources with guidance from volunteers who work in the science and technology sectors. It’s a space where you can share your ideas, meet like-minded people and work on projects together.

Since this is our first ever session, we’ll be keeping things fairly light and informal. We will have a limited supply of laptops and other kit available so we encourage you to bring your own laptop, Raspberry Pi etc to work with.

MSP and the Friska cafe are preparing a light lunch selection, cake, and fruit for us.

What you need to bring:

  • A laptop and power supply.

  • An adult – kids aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

  • Food and drink – you’re welcome to consume your own snacks in the event space.

Car parking:

You are welcome to use the car park at Greenheys on Pencroft Way (M15 6JJ) opposite the Bright Building.
