The Manchester Achievers Conference will be based in the old Lancashire town of Oldham as they celebrate their new status in the North West as "A University Town"

This event, the first of its kind in the North West recognises the growth of the area whilst offering an unprecedented opportunity to businesses across the region and beyond to share and to benefit from experiences of some of the most inspiring successful achievers that were grown here in the UK.

Oldham was once known as the "World's Manufacturing Centre for Cotton" and as leaders in the industrial revolution it therefore seemed fitting to start a new era of celebration in this town which is currently reinventing itself as an ambassador for world class enterprise development. This new dawn on the town boasts The Regional Science Centre plus next generation broadband connections to support commercial growing businesses.

The aim of the Event

To inspire, motivate and celebrate regional businesses or budding entrepreneurs, to raise the bar on their own success, resulting in a raised economy, locally and regionally. This will take positive impacting steps on the road to recovery from the economic environment that has had a negative impact on so many in the North West.

Normally these events are held in London, but we believe that Greater Manchester has the capacity and determination to influence on the global economy.

New times in Manchester see new things, The BBC is coming to media city and many other key players in the business world are choosing to relocate in our region, now is the time for a celebration of that. By hosting this event we will be placed firmly on the map as forward thinkers in the world of business and this can only move towards attracting more inward investment into Manchester.
