Ubuntu One is the personal cloud that brings your digital life together, so you can enjoy your content, your way, wherever you are. With our suite of cloud services including storage, sync, sharing and streaming - you have immediate access to your music collection, favorite photos, videos, important documents and more, at any time and from any device.

At Ubuntu One, we're firm believers in simplicity, so what we aim to provide developers with is clear consistent APIs for you to build your own applications. They’ve been designed with care and attention so that they’re built to be used by apps. We’re really looking forward to seeing what imagination is out there. Whether you’re storing data from web apps or Windows or Ubuntu, storing, sharing or publishing files from Android or the cloud, or streaming music to mobiles or desktops, or maybe even having people sign in to your web apps with their Ubuntu One identity, this is the place you need to be.

The Ubuntu One App Developer Program is fronted by our futures architect Stuart Langridge and to kick things off on Thursday 1st of September we’re inviting developers to an evening of talking Ubuntu One apps at Manchester Metropolitan University from 7pm. It’s also a chance to do some networking with like-minded folks so come say hello! We’re really looking forward to hearing  what imaginative Ubuntu One app ideas are out there and helping you make them. To find out more about the Ubuntu One APIs before the event, go to one.ubuntu.com/developer.

Stuart Langridge is a hacker, author, and speaker. He writes books about JavaScript and travels the world talking to people about Ubuntu and Ubuntu One. Code and writings (and the occasional rant) are to be found at kryogenix.org.
