The Creative Tech Network | Vision

In collaboration with Creative Manchester and the Turing Innovation Catalyst Manchester, Digital Futures are thrilled to announce an exciting series of events set to unfold in Manchester in the new year, focused on the intersection of people working in Creative, technology and digital. Scheduled to take place across early 2024, these three events are designed to bring together the vibrant community of digital and creative professionals in Greater Manchester.

These University of Manchester events are in line with the aspirations of the Greater Manchester city region in the aim to develop the CreaTech sector and to facilitate partnerships between The University and the wider GM Business Community.

This event will focus on bringing together a network of individuals interested and working in the gaming/animation/VR/AR industry within Greater Manchester, to uncover the overall theme of “How Do We Make Manchester Great?”

14:30: Arrival and registration

14:45: Introduction from Digital Futures Director, Professor Chris Taylor, and Director for Creative Manchester, Professor John McAuliffe

15:15: Opening talk from key industry contact from the vision sector

Creative Manchester is an interdisciplinary research platform based at The University of Manchester. The platform champions research in creativity and creative practice, bringing together research communities with external stakeholders to explore new research areas and address strategic opportunities. Turing Innovation Calayst (TIC) is a new not-for-profit focussed on catalysing an Artificial Intelligence (AI) ecosystem across Greater Manchester, using AI to power the growth of careers, businesses and the regional economy.
