We work in a fast-paced, agile environment, which means collaboration is vital. We have an established design team made up of product designers, content designers, and user researchers all of whom work closely with squads of technical, product and delivery leads, test and data analysts, and software developers.

The team's knowledge and experience include user research, interaction design, content design, visual design, mobile apps, and conversion rate optimisation. You'll have access to a range of design tools and user research labs, large amounts of behavioural data to inform your designs, and mature A/B testing frameworks. You will also use and help develop our design system. Working with squads, you'll be involved in delivering valuable new experiences. Our team care about the next generation of designers and understand the importance of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and play a vital role in the graduate journey through coaching and mentoring.

All of our graduates start their journey at our in-house academy. You don't have to be a car enthusiast to work here, so on joining we'll grow your knowledge of the automotive industry so you can truly understand our customers and what we do as a business. During your time in the academy, you will form a network of graduate colleagues, and develop your design skills in a squad.

Our blended approach to learning encompasses both technical and commercial skills, so you can be sure your design decisions will be customer-centric. We'll support this further with boot camps, hacks and conferences. As you progress through the programme, you'll be invited to help our community through STEM Ambassador initiatives, mentoring and community hacks.

We're looking for Graduate Product Designers who want to be part of an agile, collaborative and customer-first culture. You'll have a natural curiosity and deep interest in product design. You'll naturally want to learn about designing and building great products, maybe attended a university or community hack or two, and love working on a design challenge. We'd love to see portfolios, stories, or examples of your projects. Our design team is split between Manchester and London, so you will be required to travel to our London office occasionally.

Everyone is unique in their own way, and we are looking for people from all walks of life to become part of our inclusive culture. We're committed to making Auto Trader a diverse and inclusive environment for everyone. Diversity for us means respect for and appreciation of differences in gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, race and ethnic origin, religion and faith, marital status, social, educational background and way of thinking. Our dedication is to ensure you get the chance to be the best that you can be, showcase your full potential and make the right choice for you.

Our graduate programme starts in both June and October 2020, and you can state your preference on the application form as you move through the recruitment process.

The deadline for applications is Sunday 17th November 2019.
