Calderdale's ambition is to be the Best Borough in the North and we are well on track to achieve this by 2024 when we reach our 50th year as a local authority.  Our Vision for Calderdale is to create a place where Talent and Enterprise thrive, defined by Kindness and Resilience, a place full of hope, known for how our communities care for, and support each other. We want Calderdale to be Distinctive; where everyone can reach their potential and live a larger life.

Calderdale is set in the beautiful surroundings of the South Pennines in West Yorkshire, a vibrant Metropolitan Borough, and an active part of Leeds City Region. You will play a key part in shaping our tomorrow, realising our ambition for our place and maximising the role of technology to achieve our aspirations for our residents.

We are looking for a Corporate Lead with the vision to articulate a future strategy for ICT and Digital.  You will drive forward digital leadership throughout the workforce and find innovative digital solutions to deliver our Council programme on demand management, effective procurement and collaboration across public services.

You will have a proven track record of working at a strategic level in a large complex organisation, exceptional relationship management and problem solving skills, and most importantly, an ability to evidence your commitment to people powered services. You will be a leader who can motivate and innovate the service based upon our values of collaboration, learning, commercialisation and inclusion, ensuring customer focus, agile working across our estate, and the development of new partnerships to support inclusive growth with local businesses.

Employees of the Council enjoy a comprehensive reward and benefits package, which includes generous terms and conditions of employment and access to a wide range of retail discounts and lifestyle savings to name a few.
