Summary of Responsibilities:    

  • Identifying security issues and mitigating solutions including testing new security technologies

  • Research and propose appropriate security solutions

  • Design secure solutions for cloud hosted applications and services

  • Recommend and co-ordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies

  • Lead teams to deliver technical security consultancy to end customers

Leeds | £65,000 to £80,000 | Training Opportunities | 5+ Years Experience Essential


Essential Skills:

An understanding of security architectural principles, including:

  • Experience/knowledge of the design of secure information systems and evaluation of designs against standards
  • An understanding of the development lifecycles using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Experience of carrying out or providing input into risk reviews or technology audits
  • Technical security experience/knowledge of security products and security features in technical products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with individuals who have varying levels of knowledge and skills
  • Be committed to continuous self-development


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience/knowledge of public
    cloud solutions and cloud security technologies and good practice
  • Technical and Security
    qualifications

  • Understanding of Data Protection
    Act and the General Data Protection Regulations

  • Experience within information
    security risk and compliance function
  • Penetration testing, Vulnerability
    Management, use of SIEM technologies and services
