  • Design secure solutions for cloud hosted applications and services
  • Identifying security issues and mitigating solutions including testing new security technologies
  • Research and propose appropriate security solutions
  • Undertake Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus reviews and assessments  
  • Design, co-ordinate and manage security testing procedures to verify the security of systems, networks and applications
  • Recommend and co-ordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies

Leeds | £45,000 to £55,000 | Training Opportunities | 3-5 Years Experience Essential


Essential Skills:

  • An understanding of security architectural principles, including experience/knowledge of the design of secure information systems and evaluation of designs against standards

  • Ability to write technical documentation and reports

  • Experience of carrying out or providing input into risk reviews or technology audits

  • Technical security experience/knowledge of server and desktop OS, networking (WAN, LAN & Wifi) and security enforcing devices, including firewalls

  • Experience/knowledge of network infrastructures such as VPNs, firewalls, switches, routers, LANs etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly with individuals who have varying levels of knowledge and skill

  • Be committed to continuous self-development

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience/knowledge of public cloud solutions and cloud security technologies and good practice

  • Experience/knowledge of Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus

  • Understanding of ISO27001/02

  • Understanding of Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulations

  • Experience within information security risk and compliance function

  • Penetration testing, Vulnerability Management, use of SIEM technologies and services

  • An understanding of the development lifecycles using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
