DWP. Digital with Purpose.

We're looking for Digital Business Performance & Planning Managers to join our Business Management teams within Technology Services and Health and Disability. These are varied and rewarding roles at the heart of business operations, providing essential support across workforce planning, recruitment, performance management and business planning activities.

DWP is the UK's largest government department. We help people into work, and make payments worth over £195bn a year to support and empower millions of people.

The scale of what we do is extraordinary, and our purpose is unique. We'd love you to join us.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • Proven planning and prioritisation skills to deliver complex tasks to a high standard.
  • Proven experience of using Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, to confidently collate and analyse data, draw conclusions and report information.
  • Ability to select appropriate communication styles to maximise understanding and impact.
  • Proven experience of managing relationships with a range of stakeholders to achieve common goals and balance competing priorities.

You and your role

Working closely with senior leaders and Business Managers, you'll help the organisation understand workforce demand, monitor recruitment activity and maintain accurate business data. You'll gather, analyse and present information, produce reports and performance metrics, and help ensure decisions are informed by reliable evidence and insight.

You'll support the coordination of workforce planning activities, maintain key trackers and resource information, and contribute to the effective management of business priorities. The role also involves providing administrative and planning support, facilitating discussions and ensuring stakeholders have the information they need to make informed decisions.

Success in this role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently with data and a wide range of stakeholders. You'll be someone who can see the bigger picture while remaining focused on delivering high-quality work, managing competing priorities and identifying opportunities to improve how we operate.
