Reporting to the Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) in Home Office Cyber Security (HOCS) you will be responsible for supporting the HOCS with the development, implementation and ongoing management of cyber security policies and standards that underpin the designing, running, and decommissioning of technological solutions across the Home Office (HO).

Working with HOCS experts and HO stakeholders, you will be expected to:


  • Provide clear guidance on the implementation the policies ensuring they are being applied consistently across the department
  • Develop and implement a process to manage and approve requests for exemptions to policies and standards
  • Collaborate with peers within the HO and other Government Departments to align and deconflict with their security policy areas and undertake any gap analysis that requires development new cyber security policies.
  • You will also manage and develop a small team of policy professionals and lead on continuous improvement to ensure that policies and standards meet Departmental and Home Office needs.

Salary: National: £57,000 min - £62,700 max. London: £61,000 min - £67,100 max.
