Senior iOS Developer

The Jaguar Land Rover Mobile Development Team is searching for a great and passionate Senior iOS Developer who will be able to deliver, support and maintain top quality mobile products to a global userbase. These products will be developed using Swift and will target a variety of Apple platforms and app targets including but not limited to; iOS, iPadOS and watchOS, with potential for CarPlay integration.

Being an authority on iOS development, you will guide internal departments and supporting external partnerships. Being an expert within the industry, you will establish and promote design guidelines, best standards and coding practices within the business, championing a commitment to regular release schedules and data-driven decisions.

Working on our truly innovative flagship global project – You will support our customer engagement with developing in-car applications to increase the luxury, comfort and technology in our vehicles. Developing new applications to maximise the customer experience, knowledge and cutting edge actions. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

You will have extensive technical experience (5+ years) in iOS development, with demonstrable or published apps with comprehensive experience of developing production applications in Swift and Objective-C. In addition, you will have knowledge and understanding of modularisation, frameworks and Cocoa Pods/ Carthage/ Swift Package Manager and a solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful APIs, as well as an understanding of socket communication.

You will also possess:

• Knowledge of XCTest and Test-Driven Development, with the ability to ensure a high level of both unit and integration testing across codebases.
• Solid experience with Apples Xcode IDE, including defining interfaces using Interface Builder, Storyboards and XIBs with Auto Layout.
• Experience with native Apple frameworks including Foundation, UIKit, Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics and Core Text.
