The Client and Culture
Our client are the Manchester based tech hub for the global operations of their parent company with offices in London & Singapore. They are an asset management and greenfield FinTech business who use machine learning and quantum computing on their asset management platform. This gives them a competitive edge over hedge fund and portfolio managers which has successfully allowed them to now manage £6.8billion worth of assets.
Currently they have 8 people in the Manchester team which consists of 1 product manager, 4 front-end developers, 1 designer, 1 research analyst and the managing director (who is still very hands on). You'll also be collaborating with a team of 3 based in London, a hands-on CTO, DevOps engineer and back-end .NET developer.
The Role & Projects
They are now looking to grow their team with 5 more members with 2 junior to mid front end developers, 1 senior front end developer, 1 senior .NET developer and a UX designer.
They have been on a path of organic growth and this is their next phase of expansion, so you're coming in at a very exciting time.
The team are focusing on adding new features to their existing platform so your day to day duties will include :
-Collaborating with the other developers to design build new features
-Writing clean, maintainable code
-Analysing the current system and implementing any new changes
-Participating in daily stand-ups
-Conducting code reviews
-Translating business requirements (good verbal and written communication skills are key!)
The Tech Stack
The core skills required for the senior role are :
- ASP.NET MVC
- .NET CORE
- REST / WEB API
If you have any exposure to Angular, GraphQL or RabbitMQ that's a bonus. Also if you have worked in the finance industry this will give you a competitive edge.
Salary and Benefits
This role is paying up to £65,000 for the right candidate. Benefits include :
