Here at The Candidate, we are recruiting for one of Manchester’s most exciting digital agencies in their search for a .Net Developer to join their team. With an influx of successful client wins and new projects for numerous prestigious brands across the UK, the agency are on the search for a Microsoft specialist to join as a .Net Developer. This agency is founded on the core belief that all development and platforms should be unique, providing the user with outstanding user experience and that each commercial project should be award winning. Due to their core philosophy of embodying creativity and attention to detail, they have created stunning experiences which are used by thousands of users on the daily.

For the successful candidate, this is the chance to truly make your mark on a renowned digital agency as you take control of their .Net projects. Building truly bespoke and award-winning experiences for reputable brands, you will bring the technical knowhow and innovative personality to a wide array of challenges. Supporting the wider team of hands-on developers, the .Net Developer will implement a variety of Microsoft frameworks with the autonomy to introduce tech as you see fit in line with project requirements. The agency hosts their cloud infrastructure through Microsoft Azure and have established CI/CD pipelines in place. Experience in building and maintaining DevOps systems would be an advantage but is in no way required as the agency will offer training and support for the right developer to expand their knowledge into cloud services.

The interview process for this role will support a candidate looking to quickly change into a new opportunity. The 1st stage will be an informal conversation with the Managing Director and Development Director with a 2nd stage consisting of a more technical conversation.

Currently this role is based on a fully remote basis due to lockdown rules. The vision is for the business to return to a predominantly office based environment (based out of their Manchester City Centre offices) but with flexible working.

Key Responsibilities of the .Net Developer

  • Build bespoke and award-winning experiences across a variety of exciting projects across the Microsoft stack.
  • Introduce new technology, frameworks, and best practises to an agile development team.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines through Microsoft Azure for releases and maintenance of created projects.
  • Liaise with clients directly to review requirements and expectations, discussing timely solutions and the realistic implications of development work in line with their end results.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a Microsoft environment building commercial projects in .Net (any framework whether that be .Net core or .Net Framework etc).
  • Wider knowledge of development languages including, but not limited to, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL.
  • Exposure to any JavaScript framework, such as React Angular or Vue, is a bonus but not essential as the core of this role will revolve around C# .Net.
  • Ideally experience in a DevOps environment, revolving around Microsoft Azure, implementing CI/CD pipelines but this can be taught through training for the right person.
  • Previous agency experience would be a benefit but is not essential providing you have exposure to significant projects.
  • Naturally passionate and attentive to detail with the ability to create work in line with projected timelines.

Are you the right person for the job? Let’s get you in for an interview!

Please note due to high volumes of applications unfortunately we are not always able to respond to all unsuccessful applicants. However we wish everyone who applies the very best with their job search.
