Professor Jennie Shorely

Jennie Shorley is Academic Director of the Centre for Enterprise at Manchester Metropolitan University and a strategic leader in innovation, knowledge exchange and business engagement.
She is currently Principal Investigator for GROW AI, a four-year £12.8m programme designed to supercharge Greater Manchester’s AI ambitions in partnership with the Turing Innovation Catalyst at the University of Manchester. She has designed and secured more than £40m of transformative programmes connecting universities, businesses and the wider innovation ecosystem.
Jennie has a national and international profile in knowledge exchange and innovation, including advising parliamentary committees on small businesses and AI and serving as an expert reviewer for the European Commission on innovation ecosystems.
