KPMG’s Competitive Alternatives 2016 report named Manchester the best European city to do business.
Throughout history, Manchester has been a magnet for innovaters, grafters and adventurers. The Romans started it off in 80AD, but the industrial revolution kicked things up a notch and saw people arrive in droves from all across the world.
And today it is no different.
KPMG's Competitive Alternatives 2016 report named Manchester the best European city to do business.
And this is just one reason why Manchester - the UK's largest key tech cluster outside of London - is so attractive to professionals working in the digital and technology industries. In fact, in 2014/2015, over 4,000 people left London to move to Manchester.
The ongoing attraction of Manchester is what inspired us to launch the #RelocateMCR initiative.
Manchester is already home to a number of household names: Boohoo.com, Missguided, BBC, ITV, Dentsu Aegis, AutoTrader, Rentalcars.com, Sainsbury’s, Bet365, TheLADbible Group, Co-op, BeautyBay, and Onthebeach.com - to name just a few. The thriving startup ecosystem in Greater Manchester also continues to successfully attract investment. The result is a vast number of job opportunities from technical and engineering roles to product, project management and marketing - and plenty inbetween.
But, of course, it's not all about work. The city's all about having a good time; whether that means fantastic food, captivating culture, magnificent music or scintillating sport.
